This policy explains how the iOS app Tip Calculator - GratuityPro ("GratuityPro", "the app") handles your information. In short: the app does not collect your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.

Data stored on your device
Bill amounts, tips, splits, saved calculations, history and your settings (such as language, currency and default tip) are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. Some of this data is also written to an App Group container on the same device so the app's own Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets can display it. This data never leaves your device through the app, and the developer cannot access it.
Any optional text you type, such as a location or notes for a calculation, is stored the same way and stays on your device.
Camera and receipt scanning
The app asks for camera access only to scan receipts. Text recognition runs entirely on your device to read the total and the tax. Receipt images are not stored and are not uploaded anywhere. You can turn camera access off at any time in iOS Settings; the rest of the app keeps working.
Purchases
GratuityPro Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple through StoreKit. Apple processes the payment. The developer does not receive your name, payment card or billing details. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use Siri Shortcuts with the app, the request is handled by iOS on your device and by Apple according to Apple's privacy policy. The app does not send this information to the developer.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking code and does not share data with third parties.
Deleting your data
You can clear your history from the history screen in the app. Deleting the app removes all data it stored on your device, including the widget data.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal data, none is held about any user.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising. Like any website, it is served by a hosting provider that may process standard technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver the pages.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
